Junior High Dinner Party: A Night to Remember

Last Friday, our seventh and eighth graders gathered at Spice Affair restaurant for their much-anticipated Junior High Dinner Party. This semi-formal and fun evening allowed students the chance to practice etiquette, strengthen friendships, and enjoy meaningful conversations over a delicious meal. The dinner offered an authentic culinary experience that featured samosas, mango lassis, butter chicken, assortment of naan breads and more. Beyond the food, guests also embraced the evening’s purpose - engaging in thoughtful conversations with students practicing listening skills, social awareness, and initiating conversations on appropriate topics. “We asked some really interesting questions and got to know each other better, learning about our likes, interests, and passions,” Mr. Shoemake said. “I think we strengthened connections and friendships. It brought us all together.” A special thank you to Karan C.’s parents, Sonia and Puneet for their generosity. Students also expressed their gratitude to them with handwritten notes.
